We are wealthier Together

Show me a wealthy woman and I'll show you a tribe of women who've stood by her through the storms of life-who party with her and also show up to mourn with her-who support her every project or business venture.Throughout my life, there's been nothing as encouraging as the presence of women whom I'm sure have my back. I'm devastated each time a woman fights so hard to run another woman down.life unfolds differently for all of us and there is no one person who has it all.Sometimes all a sister needs is one word or gesture of encouragement to make a great economic feat.Negativity, name callings and sabotage to me are the greatest enemies to our emancipation and sadly enough, we have let them have the better part of us.How bad it is that there are worldwide campaigns to end discrimination against women but when one woman gets a promotion or is recognised for a job well done, we are first to fight and discredit her wit.We cannot hope to end poverty among women yet we never support the businesses of women in our respective communities.I am practising to patronise young girls of my age who are into business. I do so by purchasing items from them, hiring their services or recommend them to others.I have also taken a decision to not join in running successful women down. Every woman's success reminds me that I too can make it.

If we could change the narrative to highlighting more on the positive energy characteristic of successful women that keeps them going even when doors are slammed in their faces,we would be building a generation of more confident women-who are not afraid to start from somewhere no matter how small. If all we do is tie every sister's economic prowess to the man in her life or some other reason but hardwork or talent we may be misleading other women to think they can't make wealth on their own.Unity is Wealth.
