My encouragement, my confidence.

There are many groups that one can join globally but sometimes it is important to sit down and do a self evaluation of the impact the groups have helped you to make.  What matters when one day we leave this planet is not how well we lived but the impact we made in other people's lives. The footprints we leave will lead others to continue with what we started, if it is for a worthy course. I believe It is because of the impact which  heroes like Mother Teresa made, that has encouraged others to continue with the same spirit.

I joined World pulse and was greatly impressed to see what the ladies here were doing. These ladies are committed to selflessly share what they have with others, not because they are wealthy but because they want to make a difference. I read so many stories here and felt in my heart that I too could start somewhere with what I had.

I saw a need in a public hospital near where I live and decided to start from there. I then talked to a few of my friends to support me in this worthy course and was able to deliver babies diapers and sanitary towels to the mothers in the newborn unit of that particular hospital. That was my first charity work because of the encouragement I received from World pulse and I have continued to date with the same spirit.

I like the counsel of Mother Teresa's mother, Drana Bojaxhiu to her daughter. Although by no means wealthy, Drana Bojaxhiu extended an open invitation to the city's destitute to dine with her family. \"My child, never eat a single mouthful unless you are sharing it with others,\"  When Mother Teresa (Agnes)  asked who the people eating with them were, her mother responded, \"Some of them are our relations, but all of them are our people.\". I believe it is because of such counsel that Mother Teresa continued with her commitment to charity work.

It is here at WorldPulse that I got encouragement from sisters to continue writing stories.  I realized that when I wrote and  posted a story, someone got encouraged in a way, just as other sisters' stories of what they are doing in their respective communities encouraged me to start doing something in my community/ country. The more I write the more my writing skills improve. Thanks to World pulse!

I  also attribute my confidence to my joining World pulse. I have seen ladies here raising their voices to positively impact  their communities and since I became a member of this great platform, my confidence has been built. I can never keep silent when, by raising my voice I may bring some change to my community / country. World pulse; my encouragement, my confidence!
