Hi, my name is Mitchelle Mwavali Senerwa.Am a Kenyan by nationality and am 20 years of age.In the year 2014 I cleared my forth form after struggling with my education since primary school due to lack of school fees.I scored a plain B which is 62 points in my final exams .Having qualified to join university I was more than happy because I knew that after my studies I would help my parents together with my siblings have a better life.Hardly did i know that my efforts to join university that following year would bear no fruits.
Sitting by myself I thought for days and months what i would do to raise my school fees because my parents had been unable to clear even my previous school fees balance, I saw no way out.My dreams to continue with my education were shattered ,I almost lost hope when in 2016 August I met Immaculate Amoit who encouraged me and told me all is not lost.
Having sat at home all that long with nothing to do after fruitless efforts to get a job to sustain my family ,Immaculate asked me to attend a women empowerment training she had organized in our village. After being encouraged and talked to we started looking for ways i could earn a scholarship to pursue my career.Although none has been successful till now i still have hope that i will pursue my career.
Thanks to her ,I learnt some skills that have helped me since then sustain myself and at least help my parents out at some point.Currently am good at mat making which keeps me busy as i wait to pursue m dream career.
This is my first story on world pulse ,i hope to learn more and request anyone out there who is willing and able to help me pursue my education at the university to kindly step in.
