Am very passionate about women and children empowerment issues in my country of origin, Cameroon. My hope and goal is to start a grassroot community of conversations on child sexual abuse and raise awareness about this issue in families and communities across the country and globally.
I am a clinical social work provider of services and supervision in a family shelter for families who have experienced domestic violence. I hope to use this knowledge in my home country to work with families and communities to raise awareness on the issues of child sexual abuse and domestic violence with the overarching goal of eliminating the practice in our communities and globally.
My Vision For the Future is to stay connected to this community. Gain knowledge and develop different communication techniques on how to reach more families in the community and grow grassroot participation in the conversations on finding solutions to the problems of childhood sexual abuse. Educate families and the community on the intersectionality of this issue to the larger issue of intimate partner, family and domestic violence.
If we can start the conversations, we can come up with solutions to the problem with the help of the community.
