July 11, 2012: London Summit on Family Planning
Jan 21, 2015
Story
Hi Everyone,
I know this is a bit of a short notice, but tomorrow (today for some of you!), July 11th, a groundbreaking summit will take place in London, and you have the opportunity to not only tune in to watch the summit, but also to share your voice on the critical issue of family planning and reproductive health.
The summit, organized by the UK Government and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, will bring together global leaders and civil society to pledge billions of dollars for family planning and to support the rights of an additional 120 million women and girls in the world's poorest countries to use contraceptive information, services and supplies, without coercion or discrimination, by 2020.
Here's how you can participate:
Watch the summit live, starting at 9:30am British Summer Time at this page: http://www.londonfamilyplanningsummit.co.uk/ (To see this time in your local area, click here: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?p1=136&p1=136&iso=2...)
Take the pledge: http://www.no-controversy.com/ Show that you stand with millions of women and girls around the world by signing on to this pledge.
Share your story: http://www.no-controversy.com/ At the top of the page you can share your story of how access to contraceptives has changed your life.
Again, sorry for the short notice, but I hope that at least one of you can find time to join the summit in one way or another!
In gratitude and partnership,
Scott
