Our Two trainings at Liena's Place

Sisters,

I just confirmed that, talking to people is a very tiring task today. I knew it was, last Wednesday...but..today!

I had to answer more than 40 phone calls on the way to Leina's house. I contacted twelve individuals to attend the session.

1st caller; " Hi Mosisa, let me call you like the foregners with your second name."

"Ha ha ha ha. Zerfnesh, you're good lady, you call me early to tell me you're ready." I said.

"No my dear, am telling you something sad. My husband died and he was buried yesterday, come and visit me. I'm going to miss the chance to see the women at World Pulse."

I was wordless. This lady teaches in the university. She is a published author, poet, actress, and has consultancy business for all the NGOs in Ethiopia.

2nd caller, "Hi Liya, am around Piassa, shall I come to your office?"

"Hi Pat, please go to Leina's house. This is the direction..."

Pat calls me more than twenty times. I wish I said ,"Come to my office and we ride together." She finished my strength.

3rd caller, "Hi Lily, I'm around AU building, Wait for me please."

"Feriha, I told you to be at my office sharp at 9:00 am, and now you're bargaining with me to wait for you until10:00 am? Look at your timer, how many minutes passed?"

"I know i'm late, but the traffic jam delayed me to be there on time."

"The jams are every where, you've to give more time including for sitting at the jam. That's what i do. GO directly to Yivonne's place. I'll see you there."

This lady I'm bullying at her is an elderly woman when I see her at Leina's. Where could I hide? I've already said what i said. Her voice is like a young lady, I don't know her. She came to represent Mary Joy's orphanage house.

4th caller; "Hi Lily, can you brief me about World Pulse?"

He's a husband of a model, she works with me Ethiopian fashion week two years ago. Their wedding was last Sunday. See, how they're excited about WP?

I ONLY KNOW NOW, I'M A GOOD LOBBYIST.

It's good to have people who can understand you and get to know about the things you introduce.

5th caller: She 's ELizabeth from Ghana. She's across my office. Our walls are glass, I didn't pick her phone because the other phone is ringing. i asked "What do you want?" with gesture.

She comes every minute to my work and goes back everyday. Even if I'm not there, she comes and ask the guys where i'll be available. I pick Elizabth and left to Leina's place. My two phones are ringing, I'm answering one by one. While i'm talking to the other person, another call entered. When I hung up, I saw 8 missed calls. Before I answer that, the second phone rings.

I arrived at Leina's house my mouth glued. No energy to talk. If we're not going to train this people, if i knew those guys before, I'd go straight to any bedroom and rest.

Mrs Mulu Solomon, President of African Women Author's Association gave her fourth call, i waited at Leina's door and all the group went inside.

Mekedonia Elderly and Mental Ill people's aid sent two volunteers to attend the training.

The girl who came from Mekedonia, is from a family that gives her everything she wants. She has her own Petrol station, but she volunteered for four years, and still working with them. She bath the sick people, change diapers, but she enjoys the life she is living.

The founder is a law school graduate, he did his masters in America, but chose to help the old people who are forgotten by their own families. All the workers are volunteers. They'll be telling you their stories by themselves soon.

Elizabeth's brother from Ghana, signed up and became a member of WP.

My friend Koky, the model was sick. Mekdes, the marriage counselor, didn't make it.

Let me eat my lunch and I'll write about last week's training's participants.
