Water my FAVORITE DRINK

If anyone in my building checks me out every morning, as soon as I opened the store which has glassy wall, the first thing to do is to drink a mug full of water.

When i wake up every morning, I can drink half liter of water. After I eat breakfast I drink water again. On the way to my work, i miss water dearly. Through out the day, I keep drinking lukewarm water every now and then.

When I get tired, I take shower. Water gives me a lot of energy. When i wake up on the days I've a lot of things to do, if I feel like to stay a little bit in my bed, the only way to chase my sleep away is running to shower and let the water shower over me. After that, I can work as a horse. i can make twenty or more necklaces before anybody leaves his bedroom. I can make three- five dresses. yesterday, I made 7 skirts before I left the house in the morning. Today, I made two skirts with their tops and one round skirt before I leave Stelz's house at 7:30 am.

Take shower and go to bed, you'll sleep like a child.

Can we clean our houses without water? No cleaning shall be done without water. Most of our foods are cooked with water. We can plant any beautiful flower or vegetable or grains using water. When we build a house or any kind of building, water is the cheapest and the most important thing.

Do we care for our most important water to our lives?

When I was a child, I was able to see small streams around school, when we went to visit relatives in Addis Ababa.

Kebena, Ginfilea, Bulbula, Abashama ...etc were the rivers in Addis, but they are no longer there. There were also many streams. We used to go and fetch water from a stream when the water service disconnect for some unknown reason.

The rivers I mentioned and the small stream which was a two minutes running distance from my hoe are dried and forgotten.

Why they dry? Climate change?

When I was in Lebanon on year 2000, my friend told me this. In Lebanon you can see White Sea from any direction. There was an organization called ESCUWA. This office was formed by UN, to help all the countries who are using White sea. By then fourteen countries was using the sea as their main source of water. Some countries are from North Africa and others were from Asia or Middle East.

One of the country from Middle East refused to be a member. That country used to pour all the sewerage and factory trashes in to White Sea. All the member countries of ESCUWA were supposed to respect and obey ESCUWA's rules and regulations. The country who refused to be a member of ESCUWA was contaminating WHITE SEA. What a pity!

Guys, we have to have heart please. I don't forget how I was upset about that. The same country is famous for selling bottled water. Let's be kind to each other. Life is very short.

What do we do to keep our water clean?

Last time, when I went to the village to Introduce WP to the village women, we crossed a river. There was no pint of water. They call it river, because once there was water like our rivers in Addis.

There's a lot of dryness in my country these days. In my city, trees are cut, houses are demolished, most of our houses with flower gardens and trees are disappearing. Some tall glassy and ugly building are replaced. We find it hard to walk in Addis. Like yesterday, people were complaining about heat. I don't like hot weather, even on those good days, now it's getting worse. Where are we going to?

Living in desert? I don't like it. I just don't like it. We've to watch into all our actions. I want a Green world, with fresh breeze.
