About Me:
I have a successful record of accomplishment and experience in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for the development of remote and disadvantaged communities.
I served at the National ICT Training Strategy in Syria, under a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Communication and Technology in Syria and the UNDP / Syria Office (2004). The initiative included launched of many Telecentres and ICT programs, such as Rural Knowledge Network “Reefnet project ", Blind Telecenters, Rural Mobile Computer Training (E-BAG) and ICT for the development of disadvantaged communities, its impact on scientific and socio-economic development.
I have contributed in many national, regional, global initiatives. and currently works at Syrian Telecentres project, "Territory Executive".
I am currently the Executive Secretary of Knowledge Hubs for Disadvantaged Communities in UN-ESCWA Region since (2009)."But I am working as a Volunteering Work"
I am responsible for many full staff –time and volunteers who report to me directly.
Also, I am currently Regional Community Coordinator (RCC), Middle East and North Africa Network at Telecentre.org Foundation. www.telecentre.org
I have assisting the Reefnet project for launching new initiatives such as writing the project document national, proposals, budgets, plan and …etc.
I am founder and chairman of Studies Centre for Handicapped Research, (SCHR) organization, SCHR work to help and development all the persons with disabilities to use Assistive Technology and ICT.
I am also responsible about developing rural communities through ICT in Middle East and North Africa (TC-MENA) region and participated in Eastern Africa telecentres, OIC countries and IOR-ARC movement.
I hold a master degree in engineering from University of Aleppo, Syria. In addition, as well as a depth studies in Information and Communication Technology.
I have written many books & articles in Telecentre magazine, newsletters and programs in ICT for development persons with disabilities and disadvantaged communities.
I hold several training and workshops certificates from different organization such as UNDP, ESCWA, Telecentre.org Foundation, World Arab links, Universities, NGOs and Institutes such as leadership community development certificate for PwDs.
