Women travel for animal

This time I am not writing about myself, I have been working with different communities, in my area, I meet different community, I love to know about people's life. I am sharing about the pastoral women of India. I have shared a pictures, I met them to know about their travel for the livelihood and for earning. 

Generally, they do not stay at home for entire year, the family keep travel, They come for the four months in a year, after rain when it must be green, one family have thousands of cattle they walk for their food, to feed them. It was so interesting for me that, human life dedicated to the animal. After rain they stay for four months, as it become dry the families starts walking on the road with their cattle, they have goat, sheep, and cow with them. Interestingly, they are not gender bias, I love the tradition of this families. Woman also have to walk on the road with their cattle. They stay for sometime at the place find food and walk again. It may not decide sometime that where are they going. but they keep walk. 

During meeting with women of the pastoral community, where they stay, they said, in open field they have to spend the entire year, as may be in open land under the sky. How strange..!!! when we think that, there may be no toilets, no bathroom even sometime no water. But, they find everything nearby area, and stay there. I asked women you do not feel scare in open space in night, they said yes we feel unsafe sometime but we do not have another option so we have to be brave. we help each other when we may in difficult time. 

The women wear beautiful traditional dress and jewellery which is very environmentally friendly, the silver bangle you can see in my hands they wear regular and they work in a field. They work in the field, feed their animal, sell milk and earn, they do not worry about the future or coming year. You can see their happy faces, when I met them, they were at home that time, may me they are travelling while I am writing this, because the hot dry days start now here so animal can not get green graze, what they want to feed. I love this community dedicated to animal for entire life.
