I was born in Washington, D.C. (USA) to American parents & raised in Montgomery County, MD. I am an occupational therapist by profession. I also have a degree in Educational Psychology. Writing & sharing my writings with others is one of my passions. Another is human engagement & interaction. For nearly 8 years, I served as the Public Relations VP/Chair for Maryland Occupational Therapy Association while simultaneously working as a clinician & for nearly 2 years, served as 1 of a few treating therapists on a Patient Advocates Team alongside the hospital's CEO, DOR, DON, Director of Nutrition, etc. A desire to help refugees inspired my creation of ONEon1 Day. In 2017 & 2018, much of my time was voluntarily spent with refugees in Germany. Having a better understanding of Islam, reflecting on, & talking about how Allah's/God's guiding words apply to our current reality & solve societies' problems are what I spend time on daily. Thankfully, I've been accepted into the LSE in London!
My vision is that all human beings will live cohesively in justice and in peace wherever they are in the world.
