I was born in Washington, D.C. (USA) to American parents and raised in Montgomery County, MD. I am an occupational therapist by profession. I also have a degree in Educational Psychology. Writing and sharing my writings with others is one of my passions. Another is human engagement & interaction. For nearly eight years, I served as the Public Relations VP/Chair for Maryland Occupational Therapy Association while simultaneously working as a clinician and for nearly two years, served as one of a few treating therapists on a Patient Advocates Team alongside the hospital's CEO, DOR, DON, Director of Nutrition, etc. A desire to help refugees inspired my creation of ONEon1 Day. In 2017 & 2018, much of my time was voluntarily spent with refugees in Germany. Further, I've been actively researching PhD programs in Psychology/Sociology with a plan of doing research on Muslim marriage. Proficiency in the Arabic language and in the German language are goals I'm currently working towards.
My vision is that all human beings will live cohesively in justice and in peace wherever they are in the world.
