Newly Released! A Short Film about Police Corruption in Chicago, USA

Kudos to my friend from my graduate school days Laila Al-Arian on her latest piece with independent journalist and Democracy Now! correspondent Sharif Kouddous -- "Fault Lines - The Contract: Chicago's Police Union". With 2 years having passed since the fatal shooting of Laquan McDonald by police in Chicago, the two journalists investigate the role of the police union contract in creating a code of silence.

Some reviews:

"Phenomenal journalism..." " Some of the best reporting I've seen on Chicago police." "Powerful investigative reporting...Worth your attention." "An amazing piece..."

Laila Al-Arian is a senior investigative journalist & senior producer for the documentary series Fault Lines, Al-Jazeera English. Besides her latest work, Laila was one of the producers of "Made in Bangladesh" a compelling and award-winning documentary about Bangladesh's clothing supply chain and subpar, hazardous working conditions in its' garment factories where clothing for large US clothing companies like Walmart & Gap are made.

Please consider watching this investigative piece about police corruption in Chicago and kindly make it available to others you know!

Thank you,

Najwa
