My Poem: FBI arrest without cause Marzieh Hashemi - A Mountain High Strength

She chose to sit in the driver's seat

Marzieh Hashemi isn't afraid of the smoldering heat

nor is she like the rest that one should try to beat

Like a butterfly in the mountain's wind

she'll pick up speed and bounce to the end

and help those around her confidently amend

Insightful, optimistic, she'll make you think

distracted by her intelligence, you'll feel no need to blink

on a gathering day, she looked beautiful in pink

Safety, cheer, and comfort were well dished out

to more than her own, a Mother for all to draw to and pout

Our unforgettable journey is Marzieh Hashemi, an icon of strength to plead about

By: Najwa Kareem

*The words of this poem were created in memory of a fun-filled day of adventure in Denver with Sr. Marzieh Hashemi who bravely drove some of our friends and me up to the top of Mount Evans, the highest paved mountain in North America in a van that while on our journey didn't operate well. Even though she was very nervous, our friends and me weren't in the least bit able to tell as she was so considerate of us not to show us her angst and did all she could to comfort and encourage us as she manuveured the van, as she steered the wheel of the van ever so carefully and managed to get us back down the mountain safely.

Sr. Marzieh Hashemi is a one of a kind mountain high strength full of life, God's light, peace, compassion, hospitality, intellect, dignity, warmth, and much more. Every person would wish to have a friend like her.

Marzieh Hashemi is a moral and law abiding citizen of America, of Iran, and of the world.

Always a pleasure. Thank you for reading.

You asked how I am doing. Thank you, but no I am not having a great day. I am concerned about my fellow human being whom by GOD's will or plan is a dear friend of my family's; she is also a Sister of mine in faith who is suffering as well as her family, friends, supporters, and anyone else who is aware of what is going on and is committed to justice and human rights. These are very hard times for me and others. Sr. Marzieh Hashemi's situation has added to the unrest and distress that freedom lovers, human rights and justice advocates/activists like myself have been experiencing and have been experiencing for a very long time as too many innocent people are seriously suffering because of abuse of power, oppression, injustice, unjust policies, ruthless, blood thirsty, self-serving leaders and regimes, immorality, evilness, greed, Zionism, imperialism, racism, hate of God and righteousness, too many people watching and being silent - doing nothing, shall I say more. I am not despaired, however, because ALLAH (GOD) is greater than all of these forces and players. If we are committed to HIM, HE will be committed to us and will assist us in all situations and with all affairs.

I wish you well. If you align yourself with goodness and truth which I would conclude you do, would you please make a prayer for Marzieh Hashemi, her family, and all of us supporting her, as well as the many, many others in near and far lands who are suffering in similar ways or in worse ways. Would you also make a concerted effort to do works to the degree possible to assist in expediating the freedom of Marzieh Hashemi and all others who are being and have been wrongfully and unjustly treated by human authorities. With ALLAH's (GOD's) help, every sincere person's efforts have the potential of making a difference.

Yours truly,
Najwa

You're welcome:-)

Oh, I see:-( I'm very sorry to hear that about your friend and others that are suffering. I have sent love and light to her and her family. I hope her situation and all conflicts will improve sooner rather than later...

Hi Nadjwa - Oh - your poetry has taken my breath away. It has an incredible rhythm and ... you are so very, very talented. I can feel that day on Mount Evan in Colorado with Marziah (where i have also been with my Nigerian sister!) I wish you could post the poems here for the community instead of just the links so that they could be gazed upon and cherished. The hashtags are not as compelling as your actual poetry to have the ears and heart stand up.
I am sending a prayer for her safe and peaceful release.

Hello & Peace be with you,

Thank you very much and thank you kindly for reading.

I have honored your wish by posting my poem on this page and by posting my other poem about Sr. Marzieh on the page. I really appreciate your feedback. Concerning the hashtags above, what compels a person is individual isn't it; what compels one may not compel another and vice versa.

I'm sure Sr. Marzieh would wish to express her gratitude to you for sending a caring and concerned prayer for her so I will do so on her behalf. Thank you so much.

Sincerely,
Najwa
