Happy Nurses Day & Nurses Week! All Blue Skies to you!

*The date of this moment and the date the following was written is Sunday, April 19, 2020.

Salaam/Peace be upon you,

Dear Reader/Nurse(s) including my sister who's an ER/Trauma Nurse (Nurse of the Year 2018 awardee) and Charge Nurse, a friend of mine whose Mother is a seasoned nurse and nurse educator, and my friend's younger sister who's an ER nurse!,

It's amazing how thinking about Allah/God early in the a.m., being with Allah/God and being apart of His beautiful nature especially on a beautiful morning like this one can inspire you. ALL BLUE SKIES is the look up above us today. Looking over head as I look towards the sky and hear the birds chirping serenely communicating, in communion with each other and harmonizing with each other and with a gentle bit of cool thirty degrees fresh breeze, I'm enjoying these lovely, soft, comforting All Blue Skies and this blessing of a moment which is reminding me of the beauty of being present and the certainty of experiencing and enjoying a pleasant moment. With the shadow of sun behind me pleasurably massaging my back and a shadow of me in front as I stand and write this now near a few small gardens in DC, I'm reminded of our nurses, particularly those dedicated, committed, caring, and ethical nurses and how lovely so many of them are especially during the very difficult times we're facing now. I contemplate their beauty and their strength and feel good and know that the All Blue Skies is there up above watching them and protecting them. As I wipe a tear from my eyes, I remember that these nurses are my sister, they are my good friend's sister, they are our mothers, they are our family members' mothers and fathers and daughters and brothers, they are our friends and right now perhaps more than ever before, they are all of these to their suffering and some dying patients. This morning as I cry thinking of nurses, thinking of my sister, thinking of one of my friend's Mom and sister, the many nurses I've worked with while working in a number of hospitals and healthcare facilities, nurses who've treated my family members, my friends, and me in the past, and the many others, I salute you today and everyday and want you to know that you are special, you are radiant, you are lovely, you are soft, you are healing, you are strong, you are vast, you are comforting like the All Blue Skies watching over you, loving you compassionately, taking care of you, and safeguarding you as you do all of these wonderful and amazing things for so many others. Happy Nurses Day and All Blue Skies to you forever! May the All Blue Skies love you and be forever with you!
