It is amazing to feel the waves that World Pulse is making around me. Considering the fact that I can't keep secrets when it comes to issues of development, all my friends are aware of WP and are eager to become a part of this amazing community. Just yesterday, one of my friends called to inform me that she has borrowed money, added to what she was having, and bought a brand new Laptop (buying a laptop, brand new, is not a piece of cake in Cameroon for a woman whose monthly salary is below 200 USD) . Amazingly, she is not a computer literate, but she thinks she can get started with World Pulse. She thinks this laptop is for progressive networking. "Nakinti, I am coming to your house tomorrow at 9:00am," she called me this morning. "You have to connect me to World Pulse, I can't wait to be a part of that positive change-making group." Shivers run through my body, smiles cover up my face, my head shook from side to side in the affirmative - unconsciously, my heart gladdened. All these in just a few seconds. It was like "heaven rejoice for one soul that repents." Oh yes "On behalf of World Pulse, I rejoiced for one soul that was ready to join the uprising." In that happy mood, I replied to her joyously. "Darling Ani, I am waiting for you at 9:00am on the dot - no African time," I said. She laughed and said "Deal baby." Hmmm! I am so excited. Ani is one of the extraordinary women that I have introduced to World Pulse. Extraordinary because they don't know 'Jack' about computer - their first stop is the Pulse Wire. I will walk her through gently like walking my 8months old trying to make her first step, and then her perfect steps. The Chase is On, it is either I am chasing friends to join the club or friends are chasing me to join the club. Time to Act is NOW! Come ye all those who are ready for change, and World Pulse will get you started!
