My Journey

As a child who grew up in the rural area and didn't have access to quality education, I made up my mind to challenge the status quo by bridging gap between rural and urban education. As the president of Direct Impact Foundation, I came into contact with many parents most of whom are women (either widowed, single, divorced or separated) and those who were married were the once supporting their children. I felt the pain in my heart and I realised the burden was too much for them. So under my leadership, we came up with a project dubbed “Parenting Academy”. This program healed wounds of many women because they had the chance to talk their hearts out,on a separate encounter,we met the fathers ans it was so glaring most of the parents were smallholder farmers but all the money they made went back to the family(school expenses, children, household expenses etc

Over 70% of all smallholder farmers in Ghana are women. Those up on the ladder are just a handful.

I decided to transform mindsets of young women graduates to go into the Agricultural sector to work hand in hand with these smallholder farmers to make a huge difference in the society.
