I recently became aware of the criminal charges surrounding the rock musician, R Kelly.  Until about a month ago, I had barely heard of him.  However, over the past month or two, parents have come forward to say they have not seen their daughters for several years because they have been with living with (and being abused by) Kelly.  This has been going on for decades.

Lifetime Television has done a series of documentaries called \"Surviving R. Kelly.\"  It has interviews with the parents of the girls who have been, for lack of a better word, held prisoner by Kelly.  There have been so many under age girls that he has abused physically, sexually, and mentally.  

The series prompted the Chicago Prosecutor, Kim Foxx, to arraign Kelly who was arrested and jailed several days ago.  Finally, he will answer for his crimes and be put away for a long, long time.
