I am kind to myself as would be to others.

As I follow my passion daily, I have attracted many females working in male dominated fields to collaborate with me compassionately.

It has been inspiring. I had the feeling of “Together we can break ALL those barriers that prevent our girls from pursuing STEM at school. Let’s have it done right NOW!”.

I was surprised by the increasing number of women in Tech who contacted me, wanting us to work on many different projects aimed at getting more girls to join STEM fields. Despite the concern and solidarity I was equally sad to discover the many inequalities that thousands of young women face at all levels if life. A situation that burdens my heart.

Being a committed person focused on goals, keeps me on my toes, always wanting to make the best happen in our community. I find it hard to turn down any demand for collaboration, even when I have a tight schedule and or limited resources.

Of course, I want to see every women thrive in using technology to solve social issues that affect them because I strongly believe that nothing is impossible.

I always find myself struggling to identify the activities and relationships that truly add value to my life and work, and intentionally make space for those meaningful things. When I feel exhausted, I start by accepting the fact that I am tired and need a break; next I put myself deliberately under control.

To keep going, I have made it a habit to give myself a treat after every conference. I love to enjoy the beauty of nature; the sun, sea, sky, vegetation especially flowers. So, I go for what makes me happy.

I find a quite natural environment, where I want to go for walk. I stay calm and quite, think about nothing and just look around at the things that God created. I do this with much admiration and pleasure and thankfulness to our almighty creature. It all ends with a healthy meal, after long warm bath and sound sleep.

The next morning as I get up totally refreshed and sharp, my mind and brain starts generating new ideas to keep my vision alive. I keep a free and open mind so that I can develop a more positive attitude and gentle spirit.

Doing this had helped me restore myself. I have realized that you need to practice to choose to do it. You need to you intentionally make space for it. But the result is worth the effort. It’s partly about knowing when your resources are running low, and stepping back to replenish them rather than letting them all drain away. I make self care a conscious vital habit to benefit my mind and body for greater output.
