THE FUTURE OF PWDs IN MY COUNTRY CAMEROON

I've never celebrated 3rd December in my 21 years in the world of disability because of the following reasons

1 . I was meant to believe that the government of my country provides free education to PWDs no matter their tribe and religion yet I was been driven for fees while I was in secondary school and high school and after some questions I was asked to pay Parents teachers Association levy with computer studies the question I ask is it not still Tution fees I've paid

2. Schools, Hospitals, Government offices , banks and other Public facilities that are supposed to be accessible for all and built without rams or lifter yet they are the first to preach about reasonable accommodation and accessibility

3. Government Hospitals are supposed to treetops us for free as they claim yet the Doctors attend to us last. Especially those who have the notion that we're for free treatment at times turn to tell us they are offering us a favour. At times the nurses lye to us that Doctors are not on sit to send us away .

We are indirectly told to bribe for Competive entrance examinations for recruitment by the government if not we don't pass the exam and lost the positions even with the qualifications. Yet they preach about inclusion.

Parents warn their Sons especially not to get married to us less they will be disowned and they are the first to preach about inclusion. When we are seen in a romantic relationship it becomes the topic of the day and make sagastic statements like" Even this one too"as if we are not human beings. With all this hoddles and many more tell me why I should celebrate disability day.

One this is evident disability is not a disease and the fact is disability is not bought in the market

When I look at all this I come to realize that if you are not from a famous background as a PWD in my country your future is not sure
