Opening Our Language Gates

When we speak and place words into the atmosphere, there is a \"stronger than humanly understood\" resonance that takes place. The more we repeat something, the more powerful it has the potential to become.

If we tell ourselves we are not happy, we will potentially be rewarded withunhappiness. Ifwe say to ourselves, we are \"fulfilled, accomplished and on the path to success\" -by all means, it will and can become one of our truths.

A few months ago, I became part of a community that I love dearly. But there was one thing that struck me with a deep concern. There was aprojection of unproductivelanguage, deliveredwithout being fully conscious. Whilst it was specific to few, it impacted on many - unconsciously. The intentions were kind, good and possibly genuine, but the language and context was more than often potential towards being \"damaging\".

For many days and even weeks, this overwhelmed me - because it was a matter of speaking the words that would build or break. Not that many of the words or expressions were alwaysnegative, but the context always brought about an energy that could definitely impact on perceptions, in a negative or suspicious way.

Language has to beget trust - if everything sounds too good, toostrong, too impressive, too patronizing, then it is just that...

How we use language can open up energies that can build or damage us ANDothers in the process. If someone refers to themselves as a \"restless soul\" they can project that sentiment onto their every action, into their lives, into relationsand by extension onto those that they immediately identify as same.

As human beings, we have to keep resisting the language and the thoughts that we have potential to project, if we are to gain positive responses to the way our lives evolve.

After that reference of the \"restless soul\" was labeled to a particular scenario, it became embedded in my subconscious for days, weeks and even months. Not that I was considering myself as such, but because it was sadly a depiction of how we can demolish our capacity by speaking negativity to ourselves and including others in the sub-set.

As a matter of resisting the language that we speak, think and act out, it is important to be always conscious of the outcomes that we want. Starting at the ending is the best way toopen our language gates. By always asking what outcome do we want, we will become more aware of the words, formation and timing of that which we say, deliver and project into the sounding platform that's called \"the atmosphere\".

After many tries at speaking in a positive language and voice, it can andwill become second nature. \"Hurting\" languages can propel hurts and \"nurturing\"languages, used in the right context, can and will bring about positive and progressive responses.

Our language gates have to be constructive to not only ourselves, but to the dreams that we have and to those who we are to keep in our spaces. When we share compliments or correction, it should always be in the most truthful voice that is \"yours\". If it sounds like someone else's, then most likely it is!

Over the years, there were words that I decided no longer belonged in my language compendium. Some were empowering words, that just seemed to not be applicable because their meanings were not in alignment to my personal truths. Some were also just not words that I liked.

I vividly remember the task of removing the word \"try\" from my language compendium. Why did I do such a thing? Because doing is way better than trying - and that's again only my personal truth. For someone else, that may not be their current personal truth, so \"try\" may still play a huge role in their language for a while. At least until \"doing\" and \"achieving\" become more of their personal truths.

This all sounds so complicated. It sounds so scientific. It perhaps sounds like a little bit of insanity.

But I offer you one promise. When we change our language consciously, it will deliver to us, more than what we expected and it will also attract to us, those who speak a common language fearlessly.

Speak lovingly ontoyour dreams and think refreshing thoughts always. It takes practice, learning, unlearning and patience. I'm constantly improving my language. Just think of it as learning a new language that you've always wanted to be good at.
