I nominate JoMarieB Earth

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—with every passing day” are words penned by the unknown writer of the book of Hebrews.

Recently, JoMarie joined the World Pulse sisterhood with a thunderous echo through her candid, informative, in-depth, I’ve-got-time-for-you kind of encouragement. I call her my big-sister-in-chief, because that is what her World Pulse presence symbolizes. She is oozing with wisdom and knowledge which is always dished out with warmth, humor, or reverence depending on the mood of the story. She makes time to build others up, share stories that have impacted her with others, encourage sisters even on other platforms outside World Pulse, cheer them on with their initiatives and inject fresh ideas to invite story tellers into possibilities they had not considered.

She comes here to meet up with others regularly, and goes to other platforms such as YouTube and personal blogs to meet some sisters there. She comes to listen, connect, uplift, encourage, add value, challenge, praise, recommend, comfort, strengthen, and imbibe with life insights.

Recently she taught us what encouragement means, and broke it down using mind-blowing descriptions that thrust us into the depth, beauty and power of encouragement as an impetus for change for the greater good. She lauded encouragement as having the power to eradicate self-doubt, self-infliction, self-sabotage, self-bondage, self-limitations and self-denial (https://www.worldpulse.com/community/users/jomariebearth/posts/97878) and those of us who have benefited from her encouragement and that of other sisters can attest to its power. (I told you she was oozing with wisdom ;-) ! )

Jomarie’s commitment to this sisterhood is because she deeply cares for women. She recently shared how she is microfinancing grassroots women through Kiva.org to establish businesses.  (https://www.worldpulse.com/community/users/jomariebearth/posts/97924) This is another form of encouragement that not only moves these women out of poverty, but also restores their dignity, gives them joy, a sense of purpose, and, for those in abusive relationships, options.

She is also absolutely annoying because when I read what she writes it sometimes flows like she’s stealing my lines which I'd planned to write in a future post (ha ha love you, big sis-in-chief!) She’s a true kindred spirit who connects with almost every story-teller on this platform.

I also appreciate the care and accountability that she provides because when I have been AWOL for a time, she seeks me out to make sure that I am alright, to encourage me to keep writing, or share something interesting or informative.

I nominate JoMarieB Earth for World Pulse Spirit Awards for her commitment to encouragement . She is a true builder, where words are her bricks and love her cement, all laid down with grace, care, and spunk.

Build on, sister-girl, I appreciate you!
