Introducing myself and my journal: Voice of the Voiceless.

About Me:
My name is Shaleen Nalubwama. I'am 23 years old, a student at Makerere University Uganda. My passion is humanitarian work, i have volunteered with AMREF Uganda, MEMPROW (Mentoring and Empowerment Programme for Young Women) and am also an online volunteer with the UN. I believe that it is everyone's duty to assist those in need around them, to build the world we live in. So many people have embarked on Economic development that social development has completely crumbled. The rich get richer while the poor get poorer. A friend of mine recently told me that this is evolution, if you can't find the means to survive in today's cut throat economy then you die out. Why i ask? If the wealth of the world was equally divided among every human being on earth we would all live a comfortable life. At least everyone would be able to afford a meal. But am not a naive person with my head in the clouds, human nature can't allow equality and equal division of resources. So I have taken my stand to give back to a world torn by greed, to offer my services, in anyway i can and assist those that cant assist them selves, the children, the diseased, the minorities. Am just a student and i know i cant give much, but the journey of a thousand miles began with one step. Stand up with me, stand up to turn the world into a home our children can be proud of, stand up to put a smile on a face, to make life bearable for someone. Stand up for LIFE.
