Hi Nusrat,
This is a brilliant product, on so many levels. Completely and deliciously edible, careful choice of low water crops, support for farmers, work for women, no garbage and replacement of plastic! I hope that this business goes global. At present most of the "biodegradeable" or "compostable" alternative cutlery on the market only decomposes in industrial compost systems, and most importantly, is made of Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) corn, which can only be grown using GMO seed, which requires tons of the Round-Up Ready herbicide being poured on the earth. So this invention has the potential to replace not only plastic, but also alternatives that cause an enormous amount of environmental pollution for a product that has very questionable effects health-wise on people. Thanks so much for posting this.
Tam
we have to look for alternatives. That can be one of the ways of tackling the problem.
This is really thinking outside the box ... using local technology and using local ingredients as well.
Friendly at all level ... wonder where I can get them, I am happy to field test it :)
Thank you for posting this Nusrat :)
Cheers
Yes a good option.
