Making Impact whereever we go

Its awesome being in your midst and always thinking about how far we can go together and also that we can do more in unity.

Thank You Janice.

I am fortunate to be paired with a Story-teller, she is the facilitator of the Tosin's Project. It is the story of a story teller meeting a story teller, it has been story all the way and each story is about an entrepreneur who fought, learned and won. How fortunate am I to be learning from Nancy and the team.

I look forward to our Friday meeting, 4pm Nigerian time. Now, everyone knows that I have a reserved Evening With Nancy and every encounter is a unique one; a time to learn, think and reflect about what we do, how we do it and howto make it better. Thanks To Nancy, the dedicated facilitator.

What a great and coincidence going on in my life right now! I was contracted by Freedom House in the USA early this year to do a research on how rural women access the internet in Nigeria. The research revealed how rural women have been neglected and systematically cut off from the internet. After submitting the research, I was told to organise a training for 600 women on Internet access, opportunities and how to use the search engine. That was how I started the Mobile Café for Rural Women project in Nigeria.

This avails me the opportunity to share my story to these women, so far we have met 233 women, out of these women, out of which only 5 women have e --mail address. The rest have not been opportune to use the computer all their life. What a tragedy.

Mobile café for rural women programme continues this week and we are sure that it is a programme that has come to stay in Nigeria and it will help women to come online, share their stories and also, like me, become a power house on World pulse. I am so grateful for this opportunity and will continue to support women and girls like me.

Your project (as do the other projects) embody the World Pulse values and the world we hope everyone will one day live in. A world of equality, parity, and opportunity for everyone so they can live their full potential as contributing members of society (regardless of where they live or gender).

And you are not standing on my shoulders – more that we, as a team, climbed the mountain together and now stand hand in hand looking out to the horizon of possibility, excited by the knowledge that it is now within reach.

Much love, Janice

Dear Sister Tosin,

We are all thrilled to be a part of your team and, as Janice so eloquently  expressed, to climb that mountain together.   It is a beautiful partnership and will grown richer as this project becomes increasingly tangible.

It is intensely powerful when women of different ages and cultures join hearts as well as hands in a beautiful dance that benefits those who need it most!

My heart is full because I have the privilege to work with leaders like you and Kirthi  who are so deeply receptive to learning from others. Working with World Pulse makes all the projects I have volunteered for over the years pale by comparison.

As the anthropologist Margaret Mead reminds us -- Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has. To that I would add -- No place is that more true than when women reach deep and act on the goddess power that is our birthright.

Sis Tosin,

You are one power house of a woman. Knowing you makes me proud that I am friends with a woman who is making news in Nigeria and around the world. The mobile Cafe project is just so amazing. Since I have always learned best practices from you, I am sure I am going to copy this new one and implement it in Cameroon (with your permission of course). The women in Nigeria are lucky to have you. I am also very lucky to have you sis. May the Lord continue to strengthen you as you do your work.

With love

Nakinti

Sista Tosin!

i am so elated to be writing this at this moment. I just watched the documentary you did with Weronika and I said to myself, where have I been all my life to not have met a woman of your caliber before now? And that question I believe is what is in the heart of many sisters today. Your passion, dedication, determination , strongwill risilience cannot go un noticed.

With many more women like you, and other impact leaders here, we are certain of the future of the womenfolk.

So honoured to be a part of your team and so looking forward to making a difference one woman at a time and one community at a time.

we celebrate you ma!
