Education for all girls

Every girl needs a book in her hands, every girl needs a classroom to learn, every girl needs to get on her feet, get off the street and follow her dreams.

Education I belief is a fundamental Right that all humans should enjoy irrespective of their sex, religion, class or social belief. Hence we raise an opportunity for all girls to enjoy the joy that comes with wearing that uniform, carrying a bag of books, heading to a class full of strangers(most times), and probably coming back home with a headache because of too much noise.

I remember my very first day in secondary school, I was so nervous about going that when I got to class I could barely introduce my self to the teacher, I felt so tense that I couldn't say any thing at all. Everyone laughed and I got really embarrassed until a girl who has till date lived to be one of my best friends said, “ don't think much, you only do this once ". This statement till date has been one of my push factors, and I believe every girl needs that opportunity to do it.

Every girl needs that opportunity to dream of having the best professions, and paying jobs there is, every girl needs that Wow moment of looking silly with a uniform that probably looks too big and a smile that looks real sweet. No girl should be made to stop school If she doesn't want.

Let's Educate the girl child.

Haha, how you made me laugh when you said you leave class with headache because of noise hehe.
Yes education is fundamental human right and girls are not exempted. Send your girl to child. When I was under 18years we had composed by the ministry of education in Ghana to educate parents to send their girl child to school. That was the lyrics:
"Send your girl child to school"3×
You reminder me. Thanks for sharing.

GOOD READ and if she do not want to we may need to talk her into it

Hello, Virginie,

It's a great idea to raise opportunities for girls to find joy in going to school. After all, life is a matter of perspective. Yes, let's educate every girl child, so she can have an informed decision on how she wants to live the rest of her life, and not just follow the dictates of society. :)
Education is empowerment.

Thank you for bringing up this topic. Education is every girl's right, indeed!

OMOH VIRGINIE
I appreciate you for talking about education now in Cameroon and that of the girl child in particular. Nowadays with the prevailing socio-political situations in the 3 corners of the national triangle talking about education is not an easy task, but we should not stay quite seeing our kids going through these situations. We all believe and know very well that development, peace and personal growth starts with education, so depriving ourselves and others from education is like depriving ourselves from peace, development and self growth.

My heart bleeds so much when I see at the outcome of this 3years of educational illiteracy on our youths, boys n girls.

Rightly said, for the past time and up till now we have been carried away by fear and fear of the unknown. If we could also tell the truth and stop being afraid of the unknown as well as speaking up our minds, then certainly we shall be able to return to normalcy
