About Me

Joy Eze is an African woman, vital voices lead fellow 2013, I work passionately with rural women and girls.I am a social Entrepreneur with bias in women economic empowerment, healthy life style, financial literacy, and Gender equality.I am an alumina of Tony Elumelu Entreprenuership Foundation,A global Community Champion For UN Empower Women,to promote women Economic Empowerment. peace advocate, mentor, motivator, and mediator with more than 10 years experience on these activities.

I have participated in resolving conflicts and bringing peace amongst people and communities in Uzo-Uwani LGA, Enugu State, Nigeria and has on several occasions demonstrated her skills positively, and efficiently to the admiration of members of her community. A case in point being that in 2008,I mediated in a protracted logger-head between Farmers in Uzo-Uwani and nomadic Fulani Cattle Rearers. The Fulani cattle had habitually destroyed farmlands owned by members of the Uzo-Uwani farming Community. This led to disputes, bitter quarrels, fighting of vendettas, killings, and the raping of young women and girls between the two communities. Her mediation brought peace to the two communities and ended their misunderstanding. I organized the women of both communities and trained them as peacemakers and inspired and urged them to prevail upon their husbands and children to ensure that peace reigned in the communities, I believe in collective leadership and collaboration.I have been working in collaboration with Idea Builders Initiative a reputable NGO based in Lagos Nigeria, as a flag bearer of women mentoring women walk in Enugu state Nigeria. I have had the privilege of working with the U.S embassy Nigeria, to educate and create awareness about HIV/Aids,prevention and discrimination in 2013,I started working on financial literacy in collaboration with my home state ministry of finance since October 2012, March 20th 2014,I was privileged to collaborate with The Federal Ministry Of Foreign Affairs,to organize a one day workshop on illicit Drug Trafficking And Its Implications On Sub-regional Security And Development..Though my organization represent rural women farmers,we go beyond that making sure the world is a safe place for women and girls. As a co-founder of Ability-In-Disability-Initiative,now the president ,I am working very hard to incorporate the disabled women and girls in my community into our programs.I am very dedicated to my work, I want to work and see a world were women and girls will be happy and free!.
