I believe that when females are empowered, a society is empowered. According to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals that pertains to women empowerment, it states that \"Tapping the abilities and initiative of women is an important driver of development. Poverty decreases and economic productivity and growth increases when women participate in the economy and the labour market and have access to resources and functioning markets\". Therefore, we are working to ensure that our goals are met in order to give hope and a great future to women and girls in our community.

I currently run a community-based initiative; Girls Must Be Empowered (GMBE). It's a project that is centered on alleviating the financial hardship amongst women and girls in my community through \"teaching them how to catch their own fish\" which means, teaching and training women and girls especially house wives and teenage girls that are not in school on various vocations that will help them become self-employed and financially independent.

I network with like-minded entrepreneurs to carry out free training sessions on production of liquid soaps, bleach, insecticides, air freshener, cat fish farming, baking, etc.  So far, some of our trainees have started small businesses of their own through our training sessions.

Also, my team and I visit secondary schools to enlighten them on important topics like: Sex Education and Abstinence, Mental Health and Well-Being, goal Setting and Attainment, Building Self-esteem and Relationship Matters. Indeed, our outreaches have been worthwhile. By God's grace, we will keeping imparting.
