Soy lo que soy

I had something written on hear a few months ago but it didnt really make much sense so well here I am now.
So what do I say on here? Is anyone even going to read this? Probably not. So, in other words, I am pretty much just writing to myself here. And if so, then... well... what is the point?

I'm not sure I have much to say about women's empowerment and equality other than I am of course for it. Women should have the same rights as everyone else - but i mean that sounds incredibly obvious to me so well what else can I say?

I grew up surrounded by women - very strong and amazing women - so maybe that's why I have such a respect and admiration for all women. Father figures were never in the picture for me, except for my grandfather, and well he's not in the picture anymore either (r.i.p.) and i think i was too young too really feel his presence when he was alive. And well, that's something i'm not sure I will ever really get over. So then, women did double duty and filled the role of dad, brother, uncle, male cousin, etc. They took care of me, fed me, kept me warm, taught me, gave me advice, listened to me, gave me their hearts, made me happy - they gave me their all. And for that, I will be forever grateful and in their debt.

I've heard and read of only a few atrocities that happen every day directed specifically towards woman - rape, sex slavery, female circumcision, forced sterilization, criminalized abortion, penal code that allowed a rapist to avoid imprisonment if he married the victim, prohibition on using emergency contraception pills, etc. Though, I don't consider myself really all that educated on women's rights. Though I am interested / very curious. I wish I would have known about this a lot sooner, but I guess that's on me for not doing my investigating sooner.

And well I'm not sure if any of this makes sense or how I am supposed to end this thing.
So I will leave you with this.
