Becoming pregnant before the age of 18, or after the age of 35 increases the health

Becoming pregnant before the age of 18, or after the age of 35 increases the health risks for both mother and child. Every year, over thousands of women, die from problems linked to pregnancy and childbirth; leaving behind over one million motherless children, most of these deaths could be prevented by acting on today’s knowledge about the importance of planning pregnancies. For health reasons alone, no girl should become pregnant before the age of 18 years. A woman is not physically ready to begin bearing children until she is about eighteen years of age. Babies born to women younger than eighteen are more likely to be born too early and to weigh the little at birth, such babies are much more likely to die in the first year of life. The risks to the mother's own healths are also greater. This tragedy also happens to my friend at the age of 13 years, she was given to marry a man much older than she is because of poverty.  She became pregnant at the age of 13 years; because of lack of care and she was not physically ready to bear a child at her age; during childbearing, she lost her baby; there was a complication that leads to lots of bleeding; which affected her womb right now, she is thirty-six years, and up till now, she could not bear another child for her husband. The husband became impatient and took another wife.
