Hey, Hey

It’s yet another Monday, here we go.

Have you ever lived abroad?

As the world becomes a global village, a lot of us continue to place a high value on the personal and cultural benefits acquired through travelling abroad. So a moment comes, we pack our bags and leave our countries.

Many a time, we have our own perceptions of what the host country will be or looks like. Once we get there, we immediately experience culture shock. On my blog post today, I speak to 5 women from different countries pursuing their studies in the United Kingdom. They share their experiences about their first impressions.

Hi Patience,

Thanks for sharing your sad, but informative blog post. So, it seems that the homeless situation in Cardiff is the most prevalent thing these women noticed there. That's so sad. I know most people mostly ignore homeless people. Homelessness is a real problem, and I don't think there are any straightforward solutions to this global epidemic either.

Wow, thank you so much for sharing. I will have to share your story with my younger sister who is currently planning to go study in UK and think she saved enough but reading your story it is indeed an eye opening not to go there with an excitement that it might be better than home :) thank you kindly this was an eye opening.

Hello, Patience,

You really know how to keep your blog posts interesting. Wow, I didn't know European women wear summer clothes at 0 degrees. Really? I can't survive that.haha.

It's shocking to know that there are homeless people in UK. I wonder why.

Thank you for sharing a glimpse of your life with us.
