You see them on TV, you listen to them on Radio and you see their bylines on the newspapers. Have you wondered how are women in media coping with COVID-19? In my blog post today, I look at the struggles of Kenyan women in Media. From job losses, gender-based violence, grief, pay cuts and many more. Hi Patience,

How are you and your family doing, dear? I hear you. I can imagine that women are inadvertently taking on even more responsibility during these challenging times. I'm glad that these women have an outlet to go to for help and that they're actually using it, too. Sometimes we need to ask for help, even if we don't want to. Thanks for sharing and spreading awareness on the challenges of professional women, and all women, for that matter, during COVID.

Hope you have a good, safe week.

Thank you.

Hello Patience,

Wow!

It is very good to see so many smiling faces inspite of what women in the media are experiencing in Kenya.

I am also glad that you are openly talking about your struggles and encouraging women to seek professional help, if need be.

I know that individually, and as a collective, you will overcome.

Thank you for sharing, and for the good work. All the best to you and all the women in the media in Kenya.

Patience,
Thank you so much for sharing and bringing attention to this topic! I love seeing women support other women, especially during hard times. I thought that Dr. Nancy offered some good advice, stating that we shouldn't wish away the situation but instead work through it and allow ourselves to truly be in tune with our emotions. Wishing the best for you and who are facing these struggles, God Bless.
