As we continue to celebrate strides that have been made in Kenya, case point the recent promotion of Colonel Zippora Kioko as the first woman to hold the position of Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) Spokesperson, it is also time to talk about some of the existing deterrents in the advancement of women empowerment.
