Raw and Candid: My miseries with Adult Acne!

Hey, Hey ! I hope you are well.

This is a follow-up on last week’s blog post by Dr. Pamela Njuguna (

Wanjira Pamela

). I have yet another guest writer. You must have seen this girl on my pictures before. She’s an amazing woman from Botswana. She’s a media personality in her country and now, a student at Cardiff University with me.

Her big smile, accommodating nature and a heart too big to accommodate all of us, defines her. But, behind that bubbly, smiley girl she is, there is a battle with adult acne. Tshepo Mapanyane shares her journey in a raw and candid blog post.

Hi Patience,

How are you? Thanks for sharing Tshepo's distressing post. I'm not sure if it would be helpful to her, but I always like to look at the cause of things, so for what it's worth, according to Louise Hay's "Heal Your Body A-Z" book, it says the probable cause for acne is: "not accepting the self. Dislike of the self." And, the new thought patterns is: "I am a Divine expression of life. I love and accept myself where I am right now.

And, for skin problems it says the probable cause is: "anxiety, fear. Old, buried guck. I am being threatened." And, the new thought pattern is: "I lovingly protect myself with thoughts of joy and peace. The past is forgiven and forgotten. I am free in this moment."

I hope this resonates for her and/or that she is able to come to terms for what is causing her so much distress.

Hello Dear,

Yes, thanks! How are you doing?

You're welcome! I'm glad it resonated for you. I never know. I wouldn't normally give unsolicited advice, but I thought if it helped her, then it would be worth it. Most of the time when I share these excerpts it resonates. Thanks for letting me know. Please let me know if it has helped her in anyway, and keep us updated on her progress. I hope she joins World Pulse so that others can support her first-hand:-)

Hugs to Tshepo!
