Choosing the Digital Divide to Accelerate Change

MONOLOGUE PRESENTATION:

There's huge gap in internet accessibility between females to males. With the ever increasing inventions on information and communication technology (ICT), its valued support and use in the Society especially to gender—based calls for immediate action;  am poised to carve a niche of every opportunity with encouragements from my parents.

Walking miles to access the internet seemed difficult, but surfing the internet opened more vistas of discoveries and I was reaffirmed every girl—based (young women and girls) been unique, deserves the right to enormous potentials just like the boy-child and should not be downgraded'. I recalled how the male folks made a derogatory comment, \"Women Education ends in the kitchen, no need to further advance their careers with the internet and phones\"; I wondered why they derived joy from this repeated discouraging vice.

This comment turning into a debate prepared me extensively, increasing fascinating means of continuous information dissemination and learning. It was a laudable ovation when the girls' won. This quelled the controversy; many girls who may have been berated in the past, due to insufficient technological expansion reached their desired dreams with ability to learn,  improve and accomplish great strides.

Accelerating change enhances computer literacy, develops media proficiency and usage. The experience strengthens strong communication among peers, giving every girl—child chance to work well in any chosen setting, bridging the gap to gender conflict. I'm passionate to support rural environmental development on cordial rapport where every girl—child is interested to discover and bring personal distinctive service. I advocate to teamwork, and to educate young girls on technological user friendliness. I say NO to low self—esteem and negative gender divide. I'm inspired to see the inclusion of girls in a multicultural setting. I'm a proud girl—child, I excel with any chance to choose the change in Media use for global outreach.
