Conversations on Women and Disability

Last March 27, World Pulse Philippines conducted a webinar on \"Protecting Women's Human Rights during the COVID-19 lockdown\". We emphasized that women have different needs. And the lockdown will bring more harm to those who are living in violent homes where women and girls will be under the control of their abusers 24/7. We also cited the situation of the elderly widows who are living alone and are not allowed to go out of their homes because of the lockdown. Who is going to buy or bring food and medicines for them? Pregnant women who needs prenatal care will have difficulty in getting to her doctor due to the absence of transportation. And will there be available and accessible contraceptives for women of reproductive age? What about the rights of the women with disability?

Today, on the Women with Disability Day in the Philippines, we will be holding a Conversation on Women and Disability. We are inviting you to join us.
