Peace Boat US is a non-governmental and non-profit organization working to promote peace, human rights, equitable and sustainable development, and respect for the environment throughout the United States and the world. These aims are pursued through international educational programs, including onboard conferences, workshops, face to face encounters and field studies. Peace Boat US upholds The Hague Agenda for Peace and Justice for the 21st Century, including the promotion of the non-violent prevention and resolution of conflict among nations and peoples, and the development of a culture of peace. www.peaceboat-us.org

We invite students on board Peace Boat, which provides courses in peace education, including conflict prevention and resolution, and brings people together from all sides of violent conflicts in an effort to foster reconciliation.

As a new enriching program in the United States, our goal is to introduce American students and civil society to people and places coming out of violent conflict, and to engage in on board activities that help them earn credit and increase their understanding of the challenges we face in creating peace. Our global voyages visit an average of 20 countries in three months, and participants can join any leg of the 3 month global voyage.

A Peace Boat voyage is a life-changing experience. Utilizing the public spaces and facilities on board the ship, and harnessing the talents of staff and participants alike, Peace Boat creates a unique environment in which people can live and learn together while undertaking socially responsible travel to some of the most fascinating regions on earth.
