Mapping out strategies for women and girls agency.
Agency strategies for girls and women in the community.

I need your help.
I am the founder and Executive Director for Malkia Foundation, a national non governmental organization in rural Western Kenya that empowers girls with educational opportunities and women skills for enterprise development towards gainful and or self employment for sustainability.
Our vision for years now has been to provide a STEM education for girls by building an ALL girls STEM school in my community to level up the playground in the scramble for the lucrative technology industry jobs that have always been a preserve for boys who in my society are viewed as better wired to tackle technology matters.
In this endeavor, we finalized paying for the land acquisition for the school, a total of $25,000, and are now faced with the task to actually build the Malkia STEM School for girls now.
Our school will impart a STEM education from kindergarten level so that the girls know that they can dream and actually become their wildest fantasies in real life.

Get Involved

I need help to attend the Opportunity Collaboration in Cancun, Mexico and the SOCAP (Social Capital market) in San Francisco in October this year. I would really appreciate your support in any form to meet would be impact investors, funders, and donors from these events, for our community.
Thanks.

b) Resource type: Funding - Grants, Scholarships, Micro-loans, Fundraising Support, Travel Support
I believe you might find offers that could suit you.
Best of luck!

Friendly reminders:
1. Study similar calls (open and closed ones) that interest you to discover what they have in common and how you can think ahead/plan to apply = increase your chances of success!
2. Prepare/update paperwork (certificates and atests usually required from an organization like yours);
3. Write (baby steps...!) and discuss a project draft - to validate the priorities within your group and to train your grant writing skills;
4. Do not wait to find a call and then start writing your oroposal/project. Start now!!!
5. Visit the World Pulse website >>> My Pulse >>> Resources and then use its filters (right upper corner) to find what may really suit you;
6; Share the opportunities that may not apply to you but can interest others;
7. Spread the word about your failures and achievements in grant requests; yes, tell these storiies too... - they will enlighten and inspire your network.
