To those who didn't make it

I know how much you were passionate about this, how much you sacrificed, how much you gave up to ensure that your assignments were completed on time. When the application process was over, you were confident and hopeful that you will be chosen.

When the day of announcement was approaching you became impatient. Your heart panted and you so badly wanted to know if you had been chosen or not. Then the list was published. You scrolled through it, you did not find your name. You scrolled again and again. Then you scrolled one more time to be sure you were not missing something. I can only imagine the feeling that came upon you when your name was not on the list.

Your name was not on the list just because there was space for only 30. You remain an amazing woman and a wonderful voice for change.

My dear sisters, this is just a coma and not a full stop to your ambitions. Keep writing, keep speaking for the voiceless. Do not allow the giant in you to sleep. Let us keep talking here on World Pulse. I LOVE YOU ALL!

Dear Precious, you have put each feeling exactly on behalf of all those who didnt make it. Thank you so much for this. How so amazingly you felt our pulse, those very feelings that only we have felt! What really amazes me the most is our 'shared bond' that we have created here, allowing us all to feel and respect each other although we are miles away in space and time.

And yes, being chosen as a winner or not is surely NOT the end because we have much more special bond in place, the purest of all bonds that has tied us together and which is more more precious than any winning game. I wish all the 30 VOFs best of the best in future! Girls make us proud! Love from NEPAL to you all. :)

My sister, the flame burns better when there is more wood. As we keep together, we will definitely burn and the light from our fire will shine for women all over. Let's keep the faith.

I believe everything happens for a reason, and at its own time, We are all strong, talented and intelligent women, and nothing can change how we feel about what we are all trying to achieve, we are all able, to do alot for our fellow women and children all over the world. Let us continue to focus and believe in what we are doing, because we are all here for a purpose.

Truly Precious M, I went over the list more than twice before I settled on the outcome. When i saw Tina I almost leaped for joy just to realize it was my sister who bears the same name like me. as you have rightly said, there was only space for 30 and its good to keep the flame and the faith.

Dear Precious, thank you for you words of encouragements,it was a great experience here at WP and meeting new people is an asset to me. Though we didn't make it, we still belong to this wonderful and unique family. I must say that joining WP and the 2013 Voices of Our Future Applicants, I have been trickled up and I not sleep as there are hundreds of women out there that needs to be heard around the world. Let's Do It!

My heartfelt to congratulations to all who participated, those who made it and all of us who didn't make it.

It was more than making it, it was more of the Unity of Rising Voices and making our mark in each others' hearts and minds.

I haven't been able to post as frequently as I would have wanted to, so many things took a backseat and now they have caught up with me and also as I have mentioned, am starting an NPO and I have been granted a certificate, now the work load is even more.

All the best, love you all. God bless you

I have to, if I do, then I won't be true to myself and my ambitions.

Keep waxing too, dear sister. The future looks brighter that way.
