STORY OF AN ORPHANED POSTIVE YOUNG GIRL

Continued from below Paragraph:

Manisha was a girl child, that too positive. She also orphaned at the tender age of two.  For a poor Indian family, such a daughter would be considered as a curse and bad omen and a burden.

Contrary to the prevailing atmosphere and belief system, her extended family took it up as a challenge.

They frequently consulted Doctors and counselors in public Hospital in the process of bringing up the child. At that time seropositivity was considered as a death sentence for the child. But the uncle and aunt did not lose courage and brought her up with full care and precaution. In 2017 her uncle came to know about MUSKAN  solidarity Group of positive members who were all determined to live positive lives positively.

She approached Sanmitra Staff and acquired membership. All the family members started attending sessions, festivals, picnics arranged by the Muskan Group.

Last year she cleared secondary SSC [  Secondary School Certificate ] and joined our Beautician course in the vacation. Earlier she was a poor, shy girl and lacked confidence. But we realized that she was sincere to the core and picked beauty skills quickly.

Not only was she good in skills, but she also picked up leadership qualities. She convinced seven more Muskan girls to join Sanmitra Skill Training center and study different courses.

She joined Advance Beautician course and also artificial jewellery making and paper quilling ornaments.

Today she is a totally transformed girl. She has joined the local college for further studies.

Her dream is to run a salon and also give home-based services to elderly women at doorsteps.

Sanmitra is determined to give her all possible support as and when she decides to open a salon of her own.
