Where I get my hope

I lost my father when I was 6 years old and I've been raised by a single mother for ten years. My fathers family was not helping us in any way and we faced fincial problems at home. I felt like there's no point of living anymore . I was hopeless and filled with tears at all times. Life became very difficult because the glue holding the family together had disappeared.

I was drowning in fears. I didn't know if I'll be able to attend secondary school. But with God, everything is possible. He makes a way where there seems to be no way. I was able to find a sponsor to pay my school fees.

Something that I always remind myself is to look back to where you're coming from. And no matter how bad your background might be, the future remains flawless.

I have written 104 poems and I hope that I'll inspire people with them. When I pray to God, I am always hopeful. I know that He cannot send me here on earth without a purpose.

I listen to music when I'm really down. I write poems and read inspirational speeches and poems. My biggest inspiration is Maya Angelou. Her poems are what drives in my life.

Life is a journey and we can only reach our destination if we are brave. Just because you failed once does not make you a failure. Always stand tall and never quit until your last breath and last but.

I am hopeful that one day I'll be able to attend university. Maybe not now but later but I'll not quit. I'll always stand tall and I'll continue working hard. There's a hope that is waiting for everyone in the dark.
