Never give up

My name is Promise Chipeta from Malawi, Mzuzu. I am 17 years old. My father passed away when I was 6 and I've been raised by a single mother since. I strongly believe that I've become a strong young lady because of my mother.

At the age of 16, I completed high school and I've been home since. My mother cannot afford to send me to university but that did not stop me from following my dreams.

I am passionate about empowering girls in my community. I started a project of going to visit different schools to talk to girls about different issues and to motivate them that they should not drop out of school despite the challenges they face.

I am a leader and I cannot let my challenges stop me from following my dreams. I know that at a right time, I will get myself a sponsor who will send me to university.

My advice to you is to always see things as opportunities. Never give up on something you are passionate about because of the challenges you face. Someone out there is waiting for YOU to transform there lives. Believe in yourself.
