Making Use of the Roadmap For Promoting Women's Economic Empowerment

I have been studying \"A Roadmap for Promoting Women's Economic Empowerment\" by Mayra Buvinic et al. I would like to pose a question to anyone who has read or anyone who would like to read the executive summary. Could we use this road map, the lessons and the interventions here in America to promote the economic empowerment of women living in urban areas and blighted communities? Would some of these interventions work? Why or why not? The road map is geared toward women in developing countries but I saw a few things that could help women here in my city. Such as business networks, trainings and classes on banking and saving... I even believe that in some areas of the city young mothers could use more digital literacy training.

My passion is to begin reaching out to young mothers in urban communities and reaching out to them in ways that could empower them both health wise and economically. I believe that the unwed birth rate among people in my community is high and women need more help than what they portray. I am looking into studies on women's economic empowerment to learn how I can help. I am also studying how I can bridge powerful women leading enterprises here in America with women leading enterprises in developing countries so that those women can have access to more support and knowledge.

I would like to use my studies to give classes on digital literacy and intervention that would work both here in urban communities and transfer across to my travels in developing countries.
