How the Application Process Works

Hi Everyone,

Thank you so much for your passionate replies to the hero question in my earlier posting. It is fabulous to see such an engaged community applying for Voices of Our Future.

I wanted to send you a quick note to summarize how the application process works. Remember, we have a step by step process listed on the profile page of this group if you have questions as well.

On September 6th, we will post a link in this group to the application classroom. Every week for four weeks we will be making a different set of learning materials available to you through this classroom. These materials cover an introduction to new media and women's empowerment. Each week you will have a short writing assignment. You will need to post your final assignment in your personal journal, tagging it correctly, by the due date to be considered.

The last assignment is due October 3rd. From October 3rd to October 31st, we will be working to select 30 applicants who will become Correspondents for the 2011 Voices of Our Future training program. We will announce those 30 Correspondents here in the group by the end of October. Please refer to the criteria listed on the profile of this group page if you have questions on what criteria we are using to review your assignments.

Volunteer Listeners from around the world will be helping us with this review process. They will also be leaving constructive and supportive comments on your assignments. We encourage you to interact with the Listeners as well as your fellow applicants throughout this process.
