Project Boast

Wonderful New Poetry Book

Rachel Bentham and another poet, Alyson Hallett, had the idea of asking other women poets to respond to the idea of 'speaking of oneself'...

A vibrant and heartfelt range of poems arrived in our inboxes, speaking of mothers and daughters, rage and acceptance, glory and gorgeousness and more more more. So we have found a publisher and put these poems in a fabulous anthology called PROJECT BOAST.

On 8th March, International Women's Day, we are launching this book in Bristol UK, in an inspiring event with many of the poets reading. Do come along if you're anywhere nearby! (Salt Cafe, St Georges Road at 7.30pm)! You will be very welcome.

If you can't make it to the launch, you can buy a book online at Triarchy Press - all profits will go to the Malala Fund charity, which supports women and girls speaking out.

Edited by women, these poems don't shy away from the difficult, and they also celebrate the wondrous and the daily. The poems give such a diverse and moving insight into women's experience that we feel the book should be in every secondary school - educational and enlightening for girls and boys alike. We are considering crowdfunding this idea next.
