Monitoring and Evaluating the impact of tech training

What joy it brings when you can visibly see your dream of empowering even a single woman come true. Ooh its such a feeling of fulfilment words can't express especially if the woman live with a disability or is Vulnerable. Amidst the storm God always gives us reasons to glorify him. He always uses the seeds you have sown to give you hope. This month on my empowerment initiative i spent time visiting the women I gave start up capital to when I just begun my journey to empowerment. It was not just a pleasure trip but it was to monitor and evaluate how they have been striving in their businesses and also to see areas we could improve on. ( Thanks to the course we had on World Pulse when we started our featured change maker Journey). I visited 10 women at their business areas. Most of them were using their tech tools which had been thought them and had improved on sales since their businesses had become more visible prove being that most of them were able to do daily savings no matter how small a thing which they were not doing before. Some had also increased on their business capital. I was so amazed to see one of my deaf girls training two other girls who were not deaf. That really excited me because people's perception about persons with disabilities are beginning to change. Most people always feel inclusion means persons without disabilities having to accept persons with disabilities. But here we see the reverse. Persons living with disabilities including persons without disabilities. This is something I am willing to sacrifice time and effort to encourage because it will go a long way to build self esteem of these girls with disabilities. To this effect I am making a commitment to go discuss with these trainees on effective communication. I will also be providing sign language interpretation for time from time to time to make sure that they are getting the most out of their training.

I was particularly happy about one of the girls who was training other girls with hearing impairment of production of pullover. Although they were not around on my visit. She has permitted me to use her photograph for this write up.

In all I can I impacted 12 persons on my visited directly . These persons come from a household of approximately 8 persons and there fore for total persons impacted is 96

I am pleading to all of you my world pulse sisters to support this initiative by identifying persons with disabilities in your neighborhood and sponsoring them in life skill development if you can or referring them to empowerment centers were they could learn a skill to improve in their livelihood. Remember disability is not inability.

For persons with hearing impairment we will be working more on using technology to sale their products as it reduces communication gaps since most of the time communication is by text.

Will love you my World Pulse sisters to read and give me more ideas as how to improve on this initiative. I am so grateful to the World Pulse team for all the training, mentorship and their total commitment in making sure that this initiative create impact in our communities.

Love an hugs
