COVID-19 kits for deaf and Vulnerable Persons

It is said if you are not informed you are deformed. Covid19 has been here for a while. The best way to manage it is to first if all get the right information about the virus. Yes there has been so much talk about it on different forums and media. What about those who don't have access to this information, the deaf. Personate about this group of persons I have been involved in interpreting some information so they are not deformed by not being informed. In July My Organisation (AEDVP) came up with an initiative to distribute covid19 kits to Persons with hearing impairment and other Vulnerable persons in the community. These target population was intentionally selected considering the fact that they suffer a double Vulnerability by virtue of their disability. 16 Covid19 kits ( face mask, sanitiser, soap and washing hand buckets) were distributed to 16 persons. Each beneficiary came from a household of at least 8 persons therefore it was hoped that averagely 124 persons were impacted indirectly .
Other distributions have been done at individual level in the community accompanied by food stuff to some elderly persons.

It is Hoped that by the end of this initiative/ project we will be able to impact 100persons directly and 800persons indirectly. I won't relent my efforts to look for other opportunities for other donations while waiting for this fundraiser to materialise. I will also engage on producing beaded sandals that will be sold and money dedicated to this cause.
