My Christmas gift to children with disabilities.

“I have received so much Unconditional love and support from my lovely world Pulse community. I always take advantage of the least opportunity to give out some of this love. This gives me a great feeling of fulfillment. Thank you so much World Pulse team and lovely sisters. World Pulse will always be number one”

Spending Christmas on a sick bed, I had enough time to reflect on a lot. My heart went out to everyone out there who don’t have some of the privileges we take advantage of. I thought of internally displaced persons, children with disabilities, children in orphanages, street children etc. I just wished I could reach out to them even with just a smile. I would normally go out in my neighborhood to visit some of these vulnerable persons on festive days like this, but I felt really helpless in bed. But one thing gave me so much hope and a reason to smile. I had done some donations before I travelled for holidays early in December. Thank God I have learnt not to procrastinate.

All thanks to my world pulse spirt award I was able to donate food stuff to the Luc menorah orphanage earlier this year. This orphanage host about 69 children with disabilities and other forms of Vulnerabilities al of whom are victims of war. it was such a sad experience watching these children squeezed up in a three-bedroom space. I made up my mind I was going to come back with some hope. Few months after they sent me pictures of their new site and that they had moved in. They were in desperate need of beds for the children. Have you ever been in a situation where you have not had enough sleep? Sometimes we take for granted some of the privileges that we have and don’t see them as blessings. Then imagining those little lovely souls without beds, you would want to make a move to help them.

Thank you, World Pulse gave to this institution me, that hope when I won my first story award coupled with some money, I was able to raise from a fundraiser I launched. I was able to donate a pair of double bong beds. That has given me so much joy especially as these children have some hope of getting some good sleep.

Although I spent Christmas on a sick bed, its so fulfilling that I was able to bring this gift to these children.
