CHOOSE YOUR GOAL
TAKE A MOMENT TO LOOK AT YOUR SELF AND DECIDE ON YOUR DESTINATION

Welcome to WiseUp{PEVUKA}

One of my interest in life is to encourage students to stay in school , to love education and encourage self confidence , hence I will use this opportunity given by  World Pulse to help change the mind set of those students who read the articles published on this website . All articles posted on my account will have the name WiseUp ( PEVUKA) and under that topic we will discuss the different reasons why some students drop out from school and venture into other things. The Major Aim of the topics that will be posted in WiseUp (PEVUKA) , is to change the way of thinking of the young minds of today by letting them know that destiny is not a matter of chance but it’s a matter of choice and it’s not a thing to be waited for but rather a thing to be achieved, in other words kids these days needs to know that success does not come over night but rather it’s a journey that only the tough ones will achieve , therefore the topics that will be discussed in my account will target the following people : Parents , Teachers , The community and the students themselves , reason being is that students , teachers and parents both need to work hand in hand in order for the student to succeed in achieving their goal.

Welcome TO WiseUp ( PEVUKA)  once again ,today topic is  :

                                                                          CHOOSING GOALS!!!!!

It hurts to have a Goal that you love and you want to archive so much, and not to be loved by it in return, but what is more painful is to never find the courage to try and archive it, sometimes we ask ourselves the question ,Maybe God wants us to make a few mistakes before learning from those mistake so that, when we finally get the right opportunity, we will be grateful for that gift. Your true Goal, is when you take away the determination, the focus and the passion you have on your goal, and only to find out that you still care for that Goal .A sad thing in life is when you have goal which means a lot to you, and only to find out in the end that it was never meant for you, and you just have to let it go and find a new one.

What Is Your  Goal !

it is highly  important for one to know the meaning of a goal before stating what their own goal are . A goal is something that an individual would like to achieve and would sacrifice a lot of things and would do whatever it takes to achieve it . A goal is like a destination that you would like to reach , take for example you just got a car as a birthday gift and you decided to take it for a ride , before you start driving the car you must know where you will go (DESTINATION ) if you do not know where you are going you will end up driving in cycles and not arrive anywhere because the fuel is going to run out of the car , that is how life is . In life you have to know your destination , you have to know what your goal is other wise life becomes pointless. Be for you go to bed today  ask your self , WHAT IS MY GOAL?

A Goal Vs Purpose!

A goal on the other hand can be closely associated with a purpose, most people confuse the two at times, A goal is something that you would want to achieve with your whole heart but a purpose is something you were born and destined for. Some might get confused by this and say what does that even mean, if I have something that I would like to achieve than I should be encouraged to achieve it not otherwise. It should be remembered that there is a higher power above known as God, and God holds all the cards, all that us human beings can do is plan for something but he has his own say and his own plans for each and everyone. So a Goal is something you would want to achieve and if you work hard chances of achieving your goals are pretty high but it’s not 100% guaranteed that you will achieve all your goals provided that God has a different purpose for you in life . Because of this reason I usually advice people to go through their goals every now and then and change them if possible.

Changing Goals!

Some people might say that changing goals is not ideal and wise, but I say changing goals when you feel the necessity can be one of the best decisions you can ever make. because of the thin line that there is between Goals and Purpose , one needs to accept the fact that not everything we want to achieve can be achieved because we are not destined for that specific thing , hence the smart move is to accept the outcome and choose another goal for yourself , be careful though , before you give up on something or decide to change your goal make sure that you have done everything in your power to achieve that goal and you do not see anything else that can be done  because if you give up on your goal before trying so hard to achieve it than it will always kill you inside to know that I could have done this but I did not , the most painful thing that can pain a human being is the WHAT IF question lingering in your mind . It is the same thing as being in a relationship, once you are in love with someone show them and do everything in your power to let them know that you care so that if it ends than it won’t kill you that much because you know that you did everything in your power to make it work but it just was not meant to be . So be smart about all your decision ,constantly go through your goals and ask yourself ,Is this what I really want , does my Goal correspond with my strong points ,interests, hobbies and passion , if yes than fight to achieve it but if No than seat down with yourself and come up with new Goals.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR GOALS

If you want to live a happy life without any disappointments than it is wise to understand that one can only truly rely on themselves but a little motivation always come in hand, the problem is that it is not a guarantee that those surrounding you will support you on your goals sometimes those close to us are the ones that will do things to us to bring down our confidence and we end up giving up on our goals. The advice from my side is  for you to always believing in yourselves and stand on what you believe in. At the same time it is also the responsibility of our parents to closely know your child and help them on choosing their goals ,same applies to teachers who are the second parents to the student , the two people can assist the student in choosing the right goal that can correspond to the purpose of that student because often those looking at us can easily figure out the talent of an individual more than ourselves , but once again you hold all the decision power , so do not forget to encourage yourself but as well do not ignore all the advises given to those surrounding us , and that is why we are always told to choose the right cycle because the people we associate ourselves with can either build or destroy us. Choosing Your Cycle Wisely (Pevuka)

Hi Rehema. Welcome to World Pulse:-) I like the idea of your WiseUp (PEVUKA) series and posts; as well as your first installment. What do you feel your life's purpose is? Have you considered making your series into a blog?

Hello Dear Jlanghus
Thank you so much for your comment . Reading such comments gives me the strength of continuing with my work . Concerning my purpose in life , I believe in my heart i was born to change the lives of many people by encouraging self confidence , believe as well as letting the world know that once we learn to be less judgmental and try to understand each others situations the world would be a better place. As well as I love education , and love giving people advice's on different situations that are there in life . you not the first person to tell me about the blog , but my plan was to start a TV show about WiseUp (Pevuka) as well as have my own phone APP , where i talk to students ,parents , teachers , as well as help students in university's and high school with assignments (in the economical side as i have degree in Accounts) and dealing with different situations .

You're very welcome:) That's great to hear!!! That's a great purpose there. I'm always thinking I don't know of hardly anyone that has true self confidence. Unfortunately, it's a rarity. I don't mean someone that comes across confident, but real confidence.... authentic, real, honest, humble. I totally agree on the more acceptance and tolerance and less judgment. For me this is tied to confidence, because when I'm down, I judge myself more, and ultimately judge others around me more. Those are great goals. So, the blog is your first goal? Good luck!

Hi Rehema,
I was curious about the word Pevuka...I'm always intrigued by single words in different languages that capture a motivating thought that causes us to rise. Pevuka, to reach a climax, to be fully developed, to be mature, indeed to Wiseup! Thanks for sharing.

I wish you all the very best as you share and impart & impact.

Dear Rehema,

As soon as I read that you have such an interest in encouraging students to stay in school, develop self confidence and take time to consider their goals and purpose in life, I read through WiseUp (PEKUVA) as if I were a young girl thinking about these things for the first time. What a profound gift you have created here. I imagined how respected the young people who meet you, or read from you will feel, how understood, and how encouraged that there is a reason for each of their lives. Not many young people are taken through such a loving and wise process of thinking. You are offering such wisdom, and your beautiful spirit shines through. Best wishes with this. So many will benefit.

In sisterhood,
Tam
