Lesson from lifecycle of a butterfly
Rules of Success!

The Story of the Butterfly!

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to squeeze its body through the tiny hole. Then it stopped, as if it couldn’t go further.

So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bits of cocoon. The butterfly emerged easily but it had a swollen body and shriveled wings.

The man continued to watch it, expecting that any minute the wings would enlarge and expand enough to support the body, Neither happened! In fact the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around. It was never able to fly.

What the man in his kindness and haste did not understand: The restricting cocoon and the struggle required by the butterfly to get through the opening was a way of forcing the fluid from the body into the wings so that it would be ready for flight once that was achieved.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. Going through life with no obstacles would cripple us. We will not be as strong as we could have been and we would never fly.

Lesson: Never give up the struggle to achieve what is noble and worthwhile in life, Because"Tough Times Never Last, but Tough Peoples Do."

Thanks for the welcome and compliment!
Oh sure!
Our Organisation (RESDO), (Excluding sister states in the Northeast) is based in remote place of Manipur State in Northeast India . Which is land of more than 30 ethnic tribes & languages.
In a conflict-torn society like Manipur, The reconstruction of society is a shared responsibility. Women’s networks have a key role to play in fostering peace in the state. Ignoring the heartfelt voices of women in political decision-making is a clear sign of gender discrimination. This deprives women of their rights.
RESDO focus on capacity building of the women who are socially and economically disadvantaged. The critical failure in leadership, governance and management and infighting within multi-ethnics tribes List of Tribes:
1. Aimol 2.Anal 3.Angami 4.Chiru 5.Chothe 6.Gangte 7.Hmar 8.Kabui, Inpui, Rongmei 9.Kacha Naga, Liangmai, Zeme 10.Koirao, Thangal 11.Koireng 12.Kom 13.Lamgang 14.Mao 15.Maram 16.Maring 17.Any Mizo 18.Monsang 19.Moyon 20.Paite 21.Purum 22.Ralte 23.Sema 24.Simte 25.Suhte 26.Tangkhul 27.Thadou 28.Vaiphei 29.Zou 30.Poumai 31.Tarao 32.Kharam 33.Any Kuki tribe 34.Mate along with the Meiteis inhabiting the plain areas) have created gross poverty and unemployment levels among the women both in urban and rural communities.

These challenges among other issues of underdevelopment have precipitated a vicious cycle of poverty and hopelessness from which many women and families find impossible to overcome. RESDO project seeks to assist these women and other vulnerable Manipuris to improve their livelihood through offering tailor-made vocational trainings opportunities and enhancement of local opportunities for wholistic development.
RESDO undertakes to work with women members to economically empower them by building their competencies and capacities to participate constructively in development and policy processes through provision of vocational training courses.
The project targets the young women who will be recruited at different levels of intervention depending on prevailing needs and role in the community. Objectively, the project prioritizes the most vulnerable women (the organization targets poor illiterate, marginalized and displaced members of the society. Priority is given to the completely illiterate poor women, who are accorded basic literacy skills at the RESDO Centre). These are determined through recruitment evaluation procedures with the assistance of local authorities and religious leaders.
The proposed project is women focused and steered. The project is designed to be all inclusive, with the ability to create a viable platform for inter-generational dialogue; objectively, the project shall by design, showcase the women’s abilities which are hardly noticed in various communities. Due to weaknesses associated with Manipur societies or lack of non-gender sensitive policies access to information on women rights is lacking. As a women empowerment advocacy organization, RESDO proposes to use the support sought to empower the selected women through skills and entrepreneureship training to economically empower them through capacity building.
Goal:
• To promote community based organizations at grassroots level for sustainable development in rural and coastal areas.
• To provide livelihood promotion and social inclusion services to the poor and low income clients in rural and semi urban areas with innovative solutions.
• To promote women's Empowerment and value based education among children, women and youth for holistic development.
• To provide capacity building to various stakeholders and undertake evidence based research on various development themes.
• To work on various issues like HIV/AIDS prevention, Environment and Climate change.
• To network with Government, NGOs, and CBOs for advocacy and policy level changes.

Hope this puts some lights regarding RESDO!
