On November 26 an international symposium on Femicide (the gender based killing of women and girls) was held in Vienna, by the UN and other bodies. One of the purposes was to draft a UN resolution on Femicide.
This has been momentous, because as of now, we have international laws against race and religion based killings, but there is no law against gender based killings.
I was invited to make a presentation at this symposium as founder of The 50 Million Missing Campaign which has been working for 6 years to raise awareness about the ongoing female gendercide in India.
