2012 flew by due to work commitments, and 2013 is speeding ahead at full steam! I have just had my first child, and maternity leave is affording me some time to focus on things other than work.

To get discussion going, could you answer the following questions:
1) Is your current work role utilising your MBA?
2) What were your intentions post-MBA prior to commencing the degree?

My answers are as follows:
1) No, my current work role does not utilise my MBA. Upon completing the degree in December 2011, my financial status demanded that I find employment as quickly as possible. In February 2012 I rejoined my previous company as a mining consultant. The role was meant to change into one of managing other consultants, but it did not - it remained as one of technical consultant. As such, the focus is on gelogical and mining solutions for mining companies - not management solutions.
2) My intention prior to commencing the MBA was to change career path upon completion of the degree. I wanted to find work which would enable me to feel as though I was contributing to the well-being of others/other animals/the environment. It is still my intention to do so - as soon as possible.
